Silex can offer four types of cutting services to meet any demand; blade cutting, water jet cutting, laser cutting and punching.
From cutting extruded articles to length to punching gaskets or washers from sheeting, we offer tight tolerances and economical solutions.
For further information, please contact our sales team who can advise the best cutting methods for your product.
Particularly popular on extruded articles and smaller, more intricate articles that cannot be punched, blade cutting is an economical solution with no tooling fees.
Water Jet Cutting
Water jet cutting is a highly precise method of cutting that gives clean edges and super-tight tolerances. Popular for washers, gaskets and seals.
For high volume or repeated runs, punch tools can be quickly and inexpensively produced. This is popular method for cutting gaskets and washers.
Laser cutting is also offered for intricate cut articles. We have had mixed results with laser cutting, with some customers reporting poor edges. We recommend a small trial order before committing to a large run using this method.
