The Process of ‘film-joining’ uses a film of silicone rubber compound rather than a silicone adhesive which is placed between the mating parts and cured with pressure and heat to form an extremely strong joint.

This process lends itself to straight butt joins and angled corner joins. The strength of the bond far exceeds that of an adhesive product.

Most silicone articles can be film joined. This process is popular for the following items:

  • O-Rings
  • Large tubes fabricated from sheeting
  • Angled seals
  • Extremely strong bond
  • Suitable for angled and straight butt joints
